Thank you for viewing my items. I have quite a wide selection of steel and brass rivets in my store, i invite yuo to browse. You are purchasing 50 solid steel, round headed rivets, the post on these rivets aer 5/32th of an inch across (diameter) and 3/8 of an inch long beneath the head. The color of steel rivets will range from dark grey to shiny silver.
These rivets have a ton of paplications and i use them for making and repairing medieval reproduction armor. They are suitable for use in all types of metals and leather. These rivets are raw steel and will rust if not cared for, however they will clean up nice even if a little rusty. If you need to purchase a burr or a washer for these rivets you may use a standard washer (available at most hardware stores) i don't sell washers.

There is more than one way to set a rivet but this is how i do itin the riveting process, the rivet's shank is piened over into a mushroom, drawing the rivet head inward and creating tension between the two materials being joined. To pien any kind of rivet, use a ball-ended hammer and strike the rivet on na angle, working completely around the rivet. As the hammer strikes, it will creat a mushroom that pulls the rivet thorugh the plates. When the mushroom is mostly set the hammer is turned and the rivet's dome is finished. If attaching a leather strap ro other material to the back of a plate you may put a washer over the post of the rivet before mushrooming it to give a larger surface area so the rivet does not pull through the leather.
